Storage Tanks are always at high risk of corrosion either from their contents or from the environment.
Typical tank applications are:

As part of ongoing maintenance, these tanks must be thickness surveyed in order to detect any corrosion
or potential problems at an early stage.
Cygnus provide the ideal instruments for tank and cylinder surveys, they will read through paint and even
labels and our Multiple Echo technique ensures a reliable thickness measurement is given.
Due to the symmetry of these tanks a Cygnus 3 Datalogger can easily be used to 'map' the whole tank area.
This ensures the thickness measurements are taken in a organised and repeatable way, with the data easily
being transferred to a computer or spreadsheet.
