We are the experts… Cygnus was founded in 1983.
25 years ago we pioneered the digital multiple echo technique. This multiple echo technique has long since been the industry standard for accurate measurement of material thickness.

Driven by the need for a hand-held device and non-destructive testing, we successfully developed multiple echo digital thickness gauges which measure metal thickness through protective coatings in a reliable and repeatable way.

New innovation… Our roots are in the marine inspection services. Now building on strong foundations, Cygnus has entered a new phase of innovation. We are investing heavily in market research and product development. We believe in an entirely application-driven, user-focused approach.

The full service… In July 2006 Cygnus launched its NDT Sales Division to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ service and supply a full range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment manufactured by other leading NDT companies. We cover all disciplines of NDT.
