Hazardous Environments

Hazardous Environments are found in all areas of industry and any equipment used must be certified safe to be operated in these environments. Examples of such areas are:

• Chemical Plants
• Oil and Gas Production Facilities
• Grain Processing Plants
• Dry, dusty environments where ignition could occur
• Inside Storage Tanks on land or at sea
• Fuel Depots
• Mining.

Cygnus has developed a Multiple Echo ultrasonic thickness gauge that is certified for use in these environments. The gauge is certified to:

CSA Class 1 Group A, B, C & D Division 1

As well as being Intrinsically Safe the Cygnus 1 Intrinsically Safe gauge is extremely rugged and is suited to harsh environments.
