Introducing our Ultrasonic Hatch Cover Tester
There’s nothing worse than arriving into port to find that leakages from the hatch have spoiled your cargo. Over time, sea water ingress can damage the mechanisms and seals, eventually causing enough damage to allow sea water to enter the ship. When you invest in our products, you can avoid any costly implications of water ingress. With regular usage, this innovative technology picks up on any developing weaknesses within the hatch mechanism and seals, which gives you the opportunity to strengthen any necessary parts before a leakage occurs. If you notice that a small amount of water is starting to make its way into the container area, our Ultrasonic Hatch Cover Tester provides a simple and time-effective solution to sourcing and solving the cause of the leakage.
How does our ultrasonic hatch cover tester work?
The Tester consists of 19 ultrasound emitters. The emitters release an omnidirectional sound field, which is evenly distributed around the cargo hold. A receiver then records the sound energy level that passes through the hold, with any anomalies in the display showing the weaknesses in the hatch and seals. With its 4 pre-selectable power levels, you can use our Ultrasonic Hatch Tester in small and large spaces, making it extremely adaptable to your needs. Designed to fit inside a rucksack case, the instrument is easily transportable. The transmitter is also fitted with a shoulder strap for straightforward use.The Ultrasonic Hatch Tester has been approved by the ABS and P&I Clubs, making it a highly successful and innovative instrument that has made a difference within the shipping industry concerning the quality of equipment and matters of insurance.Take a look at our online brochure for more information.
